Help me support the mental health of young people

I am raising funds for headspace to support the mental health and wellbeing of young Australians.

Each year, one in four young people experience a mental health issue, and 75 per cent of mental health disorders emerge before a person turns 25. Sadly, suicide is still the leading cause of death for young people in Australia.

headspace provides mental health services to young people 12 to 25 online, by phone and through headspace centres in metro and regional areas across Australia.

Ride Day - 4th December

Monday 5th Dec
Group photo at Murchison Gap Lookout. What a day! 20 bikes rocked up for the ride, with the support vehicles and pillion riders, there were around 25 people supporting this event. Ended up being quite a warm day. Thanks to everyone involved with getting this ride organized, everyone who attended the ride, everyone who has donated.

What is Ride for Hope?

Started by motorcyclists for motorcyclists and their communities, raising awareness for suicide with an annual ride.

This year we will be riding on the 4th of December from Donnybrook rd Shell, to Tallarook, Victoria.

We all know someone who has been affected by depression and possibly suicide. Awareness rides like Ride for Hope are important to me because it’s important that everybody knows they are not alone. It’s ok to not be ok. 

I have been riding motorcycles most of my life and when I hit rock bottom around eight years ago, it was motorcycles and the motorcyclists I met along the way that helped me drag myself out of that black hole.
