Help me support the mental health of young people
I’m organising Track4Change, a charity running event that brings people together on a 400m athletics track for 24hrs to run for causes they care about and raise money for charities making a real difference.
The idea is to get people of all running abilities involved, whether they want to run a few laps or challenge themselves to go further. Every runner can support a cause of their choice, with their own fundraising page, so every lap is a chance to make a difference.
I’m supporting headspace because I believe young people deserve access to mental health support before they reach crisis point. Having experienced addiction, drug-induced psychosis and a long road to recovery myself, I understand how important mental health support, early intervention and having people in your corner can be.
My own experiences have shown me how much mental health struggles can affect a young person’s life, their family and their future. I want to help create a community where young people feel comfortable speaking up, asking for help and knowing they aren’t alone.

I am proud of you Sam. From Omi
